Windstar Technologies IS NOT WinStar Communications

Windstar Technologies, Inc. is pleased to announce to current and prospective clients and our friends that we are not WinStar Communications. In addition to the similarity of our name, we are both Oracle Partners. But that is where the similarity ends.

WinStar Communications, Inc., is a competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC) that filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on April 18. SmartMoney.com called WinStar "a prime example of the tightrope financing, shameless stock promotion and blind faith in the future that ran rampant across Wall Street over the past few years." We take no pleasure in the bankruptcy of WinStar, nor in the demise of other high-flying high tech companies that have crashed to earth when their venture capital backers stopped their funding. However, we wish to point out that Windstar Technologies, Inc. is not a public company (as was WinStar, WCIEQ) nor are we at the risk of losing funding from venture capitalists, since Windstar is not venture funded. We grew our business the old fashioned way - through sweat equity, dedicated employees and great clients.

We expect to be around for a good long time serving the needs of our clients.
